Issued in May 2000, Toploader’s debut album was a major success, reaching number four on the
UK chart and going multi platinum within a matter of months.
It was mostly written by lead singer and keyboard player Joseph Washbourn, with the exception of
‘Just Hold On’ and the huge worldwide hit ‘Dancing In the Moonlight’, which had been a success
across the pond for King Harvest in 1972.

A retro-sounding record upon release, with an impressive vitality and soulfulness, it remains a
highly enjoyable experience; an album that evokes some of the best sounds of the 1970s and
blends them all together with great skill.
