Formed 2021 in Castrop-Rauxel, Germany, Samurai Pizza Cats are returning with their second album “Press Start”. The record follows on the band’s debut album “You’re Hellcome”, released in 2023.
 
The quartet, which takes their name from a 1990s anime series, quickly established themselves in the metalcore scene through their blend of metalcore, and trancecore elements – with a portion of irony and funny, yet witful lyrics at the core of their sound.
 
Signed to Century Media Records in early 2025, their new record stands out through its playful story of entering a game with its own characters, which truly come to life through the album's artwork. From dinosaurs, penguins to pizza-eating aliens, “Press Start” shines with a playful, comic-styled concept, creating a unique world to be explored.
