Traditionally runes were cast in odd number multiples of 3, 5, 7, 9 and 24 (At the beginning of each year). The runes were "cast" or thrown on a piece of fabric while looking to the heavens, and you would then read only those that landed face up. Alternatively hold the pouch in your non-dominant hand, think of a question you would like the stones to answer while pulling them out with your dominant hand.
How to start:
Try pulling one rune for a yes or no type answer or three runes (similar to tarot spreads) for past, present and future or situation, action and outcome answers.
